Hunting With the Kids

So here are some shots from this past weekend's hunting trip - first for antelope, then for deer. You can jump to the bottom and scroll up if you'd like...

And a panorama of the same thing, giving a little more sense of perspective. Hard to take all this in without sensing the godward dimension of it all. Here's a link to the hi-rez version...

A beautiful shot of the scenery, looking to the west.

A shot of just Jake. That's the Tobacco Roots there in the far background...

Now for Sunday, we were up near Manhattan, hunting mule deer does with my brother Jacob. Here's Jake and Micah, looking for deer in the afternoon sunshine. It was a BEAUTIFUL day...

Back on the main road again. That's one muddy truck...

The roads were MUDDY, to say the least. This was the main county road, and it was about the only thing passable. We ventured down one side road and got seriously stuff (major thanks to the guy from Kalispell who helped dig us out)

And here's Micah, holding both his rifle and mine while we scan the horizon for prarie dogs.

Looking into the storm. I love this photo, just because of the mood it conveys...

A little closer shot...

So this past weekend was another busy one - I took all three kids and we headed towards Melstone to go antelope hunting. Friday got rained out, but Saturday turned out alright. Here's Malachi w/ a dandy buck he shot (his first pronghorn!)
